The Azure Salon Experience – Red Ombre

My friend Eka and I were planning to give our hair a makeover and we decided to get an ombre type of haircolor. So we browsed through some group buying sites and found a promo in Azure Salon. We bought the one that has 1 Base color and 1 Ombre color in the package πŸ˜‰

Azure Salon’s promo found in http://www.ensogo.com.ph

After buying the voucher we called to set an appointment (it was stated there that you need to set one). When I called, the girl on the phone said we were scheduled on Friday 9am ( I was kinda bummed that it wasnt on a Saturday but I just thought that Saturday might be full ) So I agreed πŸ™‚

BUT! I forgot to check which branch it was! haha! I looked at the website again and found that it was in Katipunan (IM FROM CAVITE!) I was like oh noe but oh well haha

So Friday came, had to wake up early because traveling from South to North is not easy, especially in rush hours. Basically the travel time took me around almost 2 hours.. lol.

We arrived at the salon (Sorry I forgot to take a picture of what the outside looks like) and we were the first customers there. HAHA!

We were taken care of shortly after we arrived. They asked us what ombre color we wanted πŸ˜‰

I said I wanted a black base color and red ombre at the bottom. But they said black isn’t a good idea. They explained to me that once you colored you hair black (or even red), it’ll be kind of “permanent”, like if you dye it with another color, the new color wont stick since the black (or red) is too strong. They said those colors bond to the hair well.

So they suggested that instead of having a black base, why not a dark brown. I said yes since my goal is to get rid of my rusty-yellow-golden-whatever hair and the red ombre πŸ™‚

The process started with them shampooing my hair, blow dried it and put the dark brown base πŸ™‚

The guy that was coloring my hair asked me how high or low do I want my red ombre to be. Which is nice since they really want to know what you want instead of just doing the task and you dont like what you’ll see in the end.

The treatment lasted about 2 hours and since we got there early there were no TV or radio playing haha! IT WAS SO QUIET (except for the blowdryer) but yeah I wish they turned on the TV or played something in the radio in the first 2 hours. But eventually the guy who was doing my hair (His name is JR), hooked up his phone in the stereo and played some reggae songs. I was like “FINALLY!” πŸ˜‰

BTW in our voucher, it says that there is a free drink in our package. When we were in the salon we weren’t offered any drinks. Eka and I were too shy to ask for it even though I was SUPER thirsty haha! We just let it go and did not claim it since we did not leave any tip (hihi) AND ALSO we love the results and we had fun πŸ™‚

All in all I give the Azure salon a 4 of out 5 stars β‹†β‹†β‹†β‹†β˜†.

The people there were very accommodating and they really know what they do and they are good at it. I recommend them it you want an ombre hair like ours or if you want to get you hair digital permed. I also recommend the guy who colored my hair, his name is JR ( was to shy to take a pic with him since I kinda find it awkward lol). Look for him when you go to Azure to get your hair done, he’s a tattooed guy who looks and acts like a tattoo artist haha

My long trip going there and my money is spent well since I love what they did to my hair β™₯ Thanks Azure!
