Nail bites : J.Co’s Berry Spears inspired nails

Hey everyone πŸ˜‰ here’s an easy nail art tutorial for ya! I did a “candy spun” technique in this one.

Okay. If you’re from the Philippines, I’m sure you are very much aware of the craze over J.Co’s donuts. Β Like people would stand in line for minutes or even hours! Just to bring home a box of Β goodie donuts.

They have a wide variety of flavors and what really caught my attention is the “Berry Spears” (the name of their donuts are pretty funny :p)

Source: Google

J.Co’s funny flavors

Unfortunately, I didn’t get to have some of the Berry Spears.. my brother ate it 😦

So.. I painted it on my nails instead. (Random ; p)

Here are the stuff I used :

  • 1 toothpick
  • BYS base coat
  • China Glaze Make Some Noise
  • BYS nail art lacquer in white

Nail polishes

Here’s the fun part! The candy spun technique :p

The thinner the strings the better ;)

The thinner the strings the better πŸ˜‰

On a steel or plastic plate, pour your nail polish of choice to make a small puddle πŸ™‚

Stir the puddle with your toothpick and wait for the consistency of the nail polish to get a little thick.

How to know when it’s ready:

When you dip your toothpick and pull it away, it holds a thin line of paint that connect it to the paint puddle. The paint doesn’t drop back to the puddle.

Now transfer the strings of paint to your nail! Just bring you nail close to the puddle.. dip your toothpick and lead the string towards your nail and let it stick on it πŸ™‚ tada!!!!

~you’re gonna hear me rooaaar~ “Roar” -Katy Perry

To match the hype of Katy’s song, why not paint your nails with a leopard print!

Okay, I admit I do alot of nail art with just the design and no base. It’s because I find it easier and more fun. Easier to clean up too! You also don’t have to worry about chipping or perfect nails πŸ˜‰

Imagine your nail is your canvas for your painting πŸ˜‰

Nails for the New Year!

~Baby you're a firework!~

~Baby you’re a firework!~

I know it’s a little late, but here are my nails for the new year!

It looks a little red cause I “cleaned” my nails.. but the colors still pop!

I wanted to do something that is similar to a firework and hopefully (and it looks like) I have achieved it.

Lately I have been loving nail arts that look like paintings πŸ˜‰ for me they are easier to do.. I mean, they dont have to be perfect!

Hopefully this inspires you and for you to do it yourself. When I was doing this I couldn’t stop myself from singing “Firework” by Katy Perry πŸ˜‰
